They met in the spring of 1929, exactly 15 years after the Titanic sank when they were just six years old. Always inseparable, the two kids fell in love underneath the cherry tree. However, when tragic strikes and bombs were dropped on the coast of Pearl Harbor killing over 3,000 people on December 7th, 1941, Scottie gets selected in the military draft just a few months before their high school graduation. Promising Jenny that he'd come back home, Scottie then writes a series of love letters to her confessing that no matter what happens, he'll always love her. But as the war gets tougher, Scottie is then captured by the Japanese and becomes a POW in The Philippines. It was not until four years later at the the end of the war when he is released and comes home, only to find that the love of his life has moved on with another man, his best friend.
Heartbroken and betrayed, Scottie gets drunk at the local pub to the point where he ends up losing his mind and commits suicide - only to leave a bottle of whiskey and a goodbye letter to Jenny.
Based on true events, this is the story of how one world war shattered and change the lives of the innocent.
